Linen Closet Makeover

For the first time in my life, I have a linen closet. I also have a deep addiction to pretty quilts and comforters, and soft, cool sheets. Therefore, my linen closet runneth over. It was giving me serious anxiety.

I wanted neat, but functional. I did some research and took a chance on a few zippable bags to hold things like comforters, blankets, quilts, sheets, extra towels, beach towels, pillow cases, and the like.

I then found a basket set that I fell in love with and went with the farmhouse look my house has been going in the direction of lately. I have 2 sets, but I only use half of the second set in the closet (the rest are elsewhere in this house).

In the baskets, I have extra phone cords, toilet paper, candles, batteries, cleaning cloths, extra plug in refills, light bulbs, and other “stuff” that found its way into my closet.

This is the before.

While it’s not perfect, it definitely is an improvement on what it was before. I feel so much better and more organized now!

Here are some links to what I used to organize the closet.

This is for the chicken wire baskets. They’re well made and have a removable liner.

Comforter Bags-

I can get 2 comforters or 4 quilts in each bag. They’re rather large.

Blanket and Towel Bags-

This is sort of an in between size. I stored blankets and towels in them.

Sheet Bags-

I used these for sheets and smaller items. You get 6 to a pack, so it was a great deal!
